Kaffeelix

Kaffeelix began in 2012 as Felix Kaffee, when Felix Teiretzbacher started roasting for his own café in St. Pölten; he later sold the café to roast full time. He won the first Austrian roasting championship in 2019 and defended the title in 2022, and he still runs the roasters himself every week: two Coffeetool drum roasters and a Giesen in the St. Pölten roastery. The roasting is deliberately light, to bring out what an origin or a process does, and the lineup leans on direct or transparent sourcing: washed Kenyans, organic Ethiopians, anaerobic and thermal-shock Colombians, and an El Salvador lot in two processes.
