The giant — nutty, chocolatey, the base of the world's espresso.

Region
Latin America
Altitude

Harvest
May – September

Brazil grows roughly a third of all the coffee on earth, and its character is woven through almost every blend you have ever drunk. Lower altitudes and vast sun-drenched farms favour natural and pulped-natural processing, giving a low-acid, heavy-bodied cup full of chocolate, roasted nuts and caramel sweetness. It is the dependable backbone of espresso the world over — and, increasingly, the source of clean, sweet specialty lots that show the country can do nuance as well as scale.
