Rogue Wave Coffee

Rogue Wave was founded in Edmonton in 2016 by David Laville and David Walsh, after a decade of planning to make a living from coffee; Ply Pasarj joined the partnership in 2018, and the team has grown from three to twelve. Its stated aim is delicious, adventurous coffee from around the world, roasted as exactly as possible, and as much direct trade as it can manage. The menu is long and changes quickly: washed Kenyans and Ethiopians beside pineapple and fruit co-ferments from Colombia, 100 g Panama Geishas, and the odd outlier such as an anaerobic Liberica from Vietnam, most sold in 250 g or 340 g bags with a 40 g sample size. It is also one of Canada's larger brewing-gear shops.
