Black & White Coffee Roasters

Black & White was founded in 2017 by Kyle Ramage and Lem Butler, both US Barista Champions, who wanted the coffees they had met on the competition stage to be available to anyone. It roasts in Raleigh, North Carolina, four days a week, and sorts its menu by how a coffee tastes rather than where it comes from: Clean, Mild, Funky. That puts washed Kenyans and Ethiopians beside the fruit co-ferments and thermal-shock lots from Colombian and Costa Rican producers that the roastery is known for, alongside a year-round range of blends. The Black Label line sells rare lots, such as the Lamastus family's Elida Estate in Panama, in 100 g bags. The web shop keeps a long archive of past coffees; this index follows the current retail single origins.
