This year's Berry Blues is an anaerobic natural heirloom grown at 2,300 m in Oromia, Ethiopia, shade-dried and given a 72-hour controlled ferment. The result is unusually silky and buttery, with grape soda, a myrtle-liquor edge and cashew nut rounding the texture. It works as well through a filter as it does as espresso.
