Kenya is a variety cultivated in Costa Rica and named for its resemblance to the celebrated SL lines of East Africa. Growers value it for vigorous cherry production and a cup that leans toward crisp, citric acidity with clean sweetness. It performs well at high altitude and has become a quiet favorite among quality-focused producers in the country. Lots are still relatively uncommon outside specialty channels.
