Chelchele Site

Grown by smallholders around the village of Banko Chelchele in Ethiopia's Gedeo Zone, these heirloom varieties sit between 1,900 and 2,300 metres in fertile red clay. The anaerobic process pushes the fruit forward, with ripe peach, a red wine note and crisp blackberry acidity. For most families here coffee is the main source of income.
