Blackberry Hug is a heirloom natural from the Shantawene village of Bensa in Sidamo, grown high at around 2,150 m. Left to dry with all its fruit intact, it turns creamy and complex, with winey notes of blackberry and cranberry juice alongside stewed pear. A gentle sugarcane sweetness lingers on the finish.
