Café TorQué is the brand of Torréfaction Québec, which opened in Montreal in 2016 as what it calls Canada's first cooperative roasting workshop, and which has also sold green coffee to emerging roasters since 2021. Its range is sorted into four families: Classique for everyday coffees, Corsé for darker, fuller roasts, Microlot for limited seasonal lots, and Barriqué, green coffee aged for months in barrels that held a Canadian whisky distilled in Montreal, or macerated in fruit purée, such as the banana lot sold as Banane à split. The alcohol is driven off in roasting. Bags are 222 g, the copy is written in playful Quebec French, and the coffees are served in Montreal cafés such as Café BRUT.
