Ombligon is a Colombian variety that takes its name from the small navel-shaped protrusion on the tip of its cherries. Once grown obscurely, it has gained attention through competition lots from Huila producers such as El Diviso. In the cup it tends toward sweetness and pronounced fruit, responding especially well to extended and anaerobic fermentations. Supply remains limited, keeping it a specialty curiosity.
