Arara is a Brazilian variety derived from a natural cross between Obatã and Yellow Catuaí, selected for its productivity, disease resistance, and cup quality. It has become popular across Minas Gerais and other Brazilian growing regions, where farmers value its adaptability and heavy yields. In the cup it tends toward pronounced sweetness with creamy body, often showing nutty and stone-fruit notes, and it responds well to natural and experimental processing.
