Sarchimor is a group of varieties derived from crossing Villa Sarchi with the Hibrido de Timor, giving it strong resistance to coffee leaf rust. It is widely planted across Central America and parts of Asia where disease pressure and lower elevations challenge more delicate varieties. Cup quality is generally clean and balanced, with moderate acidity and body, though it rarely reaches the heights of the finest Bourbon-line selections. Its resilience has made it an important tool for smallholders managing changing climates.
