Chandragiri

Chandragiri is a dwarf arabica variety released by India's Central Coffee Research Institute, named for the Chandragiri hills. Its short stature and manageable canopy suit the shaded, densely interplanted estates of the Western Ghats, and it has become a favorite for producers chasing cleaner, more expressive specialty lots. In the cup it tends toward balanced sweetness with chocolate and soft fruit. Well-managed lots reward careful washed and natural processing.
