Bor Bor

Bor Bor is one of the mainstay varieties grown by smallholders in Aceh and the wider Gayo region of northern Sumatra, often planted alongside Ateng and Timor-derived types. It is a vigorous, locally adapted selection suited to the humid highland conditions and the region's distinctive wet-hulling tradition. Cups tend toward low acidity with heavy body and earthy, savory depth typical of Sumatra. Its name is used loosely by farmers, and it is usually blended with neighboring varieties at the village mill.
