Anacafé 14 was identified and promoted by Guatemala's national coffee association, Anacafé, after farmers noticed a hardy natural cross thriving in the dry Nuevo Oriente region. It blends Catimor and Pacamara ancestry, yielding good resistance to leaf rust alongside tolerance for drought. In the cup it can be clean and sweet, with chocolate, nutty and gentle fruit notes when well processed. It has become a practical choice for Guatemalan producers facing climate stress.
